Community Connections

Join us on a cultural healing journey

Our vision is to create partnerships with First Nation Organizations to collaborate on projects and initiatives that focus on supporting cultural healing, promoting holistic wellness, and fostering healthy living in addictions aftercare within our community's.

Community Train the Trainer Model

Thay K’i Anint’i first works with Communities to create a recovery after care plan specific to their communities needs. We recommend two citizens to train under Thay K’i Anint’i, a male and female. Our goal is to pass on our aftercare model and assist surrounding communities in the Yukon to become self sufficient in after care services. We will work with the trainees on a weekly basis, either in person or by zoom. Continued support through a community network will be ongoing.

Please connect with us if your interested in joining our Community Train The Trainer program.

Elders Guidance

At Thay K'i Anint'i, we deeply honor the role of Elders on our cultural healing journeys, they bring guidance and wisdom accumulated over a lifetime, enriching our lives and programs with their invaluable teachings. Through traditional ceremonies and storytelling, Elders play a crucial part in helping individuals on their path to recovery. In our recovery aftercare programs, we work with Elders to help guide us on our healing journeys. They play a pivotal role in community building by fostering connections and providing a safe space for individuals to share their experiences. Through their presence and guidance, Elders help create a sense of belonging and acceptance.

Integrating Elder Wisdom

Our approach at Thay K'i Anint'i involves integrating Elder wisdom into all aspects of our programming. We believe that by incorporating traditional teachings and practices, we can offer a  culturally holistic approach to recovery that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit. Elders advise us in creating a cultural environment that promotes trust, healing, and unity.

We are honored to extend an invitation for Elders and Knowledge keepers to join us in our cultural healing journeys and recovery aftercare programs. Your wisdom and support play a vital role in not only the individual healing process but also in fostering the growth and resilience of our entire communities.

Please connect with us if you are an elder/knowledge keeper and are interested in working with us.

Why Your Presence Matters

Your guidance is deeply embedded in the traditions and teachings that form the cornerstone of our programs. By sharing your knowledge and leading ceremonies, you help individuals in recovery forge meaningful connections to their culture and heritage, which is essential for their cultural holistic healing.

How You Can Help

As an Elder, your participation would include:

  • Enhance Authenticity: Ensure our programs reflect the true spirit of our cultural heritage.
  • Provide Guidance: Offer your invaluable experience and knowledge to those in need.
  • Foster Connection: Help individuals build strong connections to their culture and community.
  • Promote Healing: Lead ceremonies and teachings that are central to the healing process.
  • Story Telling: Through storytelling you can share valuable lessons and teachings to individuals in addictions recovery.
